Project details
IT Bites were initially appointed to lead the testing of Capita Phase 1 deployment of Workday.
Our responsibilities included creating a Test Strategy; planning for test capacity; test scenario design and development. Once testing started, we oversaw test execution, with subsequent production of test closure report and sign off that Workday was ready for go live. During this important phase of the project, IT Bites co-ordinated Issue Management and Change Requests.
Phase 1 of Workday at Capita deployed Core HCM; Absence; Compensation; Recruiting; Talent & Performance Management and Workday Learning – providing IT Bites with significant exposure to all of the Workday modules.
Following successful deployment, IT Bites were retained as Workday Test and Cut Over Lead for the roll-out of Workday to its operations in Germany. This covered not only Workday, but also SAP Payroll.
As well as leading testing, we managed design changes required for Germany into Capita Workday Global Blueprint. We also gained significant exposure to Workday Learning in this deployment, leading its design and deployment. Finally, cut over into the global Workday system was managed.
Finally, IT Bites were asked to continue in support of post go live hypercare and transition to business as usual support, helping to establish the BAU team and provide continuity from project to live working.
